Part 7 of 10: Can friends and family make a difference?



A new paper recently published by the American Society for Cancer research suggests that social isolation worsens cancer. The study was conducted in mice and demonstrated that a negative social environment causes increased tumor growth. Read more about the findings by clicking here.

It makes sense that social isolation would worsen clinical outcome. New research is continunally supporting how our environment is altering our gene expression. Social support groups are essential for coping with illnesses on many different levels. Are you supporting a friend or family that has recently been diagnosed with cancer?
